Recent work in researching and developing new learning environments

  • CORE Education Ltd (2007)

During the first 6 months of 2007 I was Programme Manager for the KPerak ELearning Cluster project. This was a pilot project in the state of Perak, Malaysia, in which 5 schools were involved in a professional development programme based around integrating ICT into the curriculum. The project involved enlisting and mentoring a team of local teachers as ICT PD facilitators, facilitating workshops and in-school professional learning, providing expertise and advice at a project management level, undertaking research into teacher and student achievement, and co-authoring the project's evaluation report.

  • CORE Education Ltd (2005 - 2006)

National ICT PD Facilitator for two years, working for CORE Education, a not-for-profit educational research and development organisation based in Christchurch, New Zealand. CORE researches, applies, supports, and disseminates new learning technologies. As a National Facilitator my role was mentoring and monitoring local ICTPD project directors and teacher facilitators in clusters of primary and secondary schools in the Wellington region, and throughout the South Island of New Zealand.

Available through NZCER.
